North Lanark Highland Games The N.L.A.S Fairgrounds in Almonte fill with over 20 pipe bands, dancers, and heavyweight champions celebrating their Scottish Heritage. The games begin at 9 a.m.
Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival Hop the river and experience the excitement of Canada’s largest hot air balloon festival. Balloons fill the sky over Parc de La Baie in Gatineau. It all begins at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Petawawa Showcase Stop by the Petawawa Civic Center for this family friendly event. There will be vendors from various different industries, from home baked goodies to local area businesses, and fun activities for the kids. The fun begins at noon on Friday.
European Union Film Festival
Stop by the Library and Archives Canada for this annual exhibit by the Canadian Film Institute of what is deemed the best of contemporary European cinema. Times vary.
Ottawa Tea Festival Pay a visit to the Library and Archives Canada in Ottawa for a celebration of tea, music, and dance. Times vary per day.
Arctic Voices The Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa hosts this fun interactive exhibit displaying the diverse nature of the Arctic. Times vary.
Advent Calendar of Drinks The Hintonburg Public House in Ottawa hosts this festive fundraiser for the Parkdale Food Centre. Each day will spotlight a different drink and the proceeds will be given to the centre.

Bell Park Gazebo Series Bell Park fills with music from various gazebos with Ramsey Lake as the background. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for the shows that begin at 7 p.m.
